1. I have never run before. Is this session for me?
- Yes, the sessions are for anyone: from beginners to anybody who's been running recreationally and is looking to improve the same. The coach will give you a run training plan after an assessment of your fitness level.
2. The package is houseful/sold out. Can I still join?
- Contact the SIS team (Sanya- 7411792211)
3. Will I have to run the entire duration mentioned?
- No. You can run-walk-jog as much as you want in the time allocated for the run. The coach will guide you through this part.
There is a warm up stretch and a cool down stretch done before and after the run. The duration of the entire session including welcoming and goodbyes typically last the timings mentioned.
4. Does this include strength and conditioning training, or nutrition related plans, etc.?
- No. This only includes run related training programs, and the coach may give you very generic tips on strength/nutrition, but no such training plans are included.
5. Does this include the registration fees for the SIStra run?
- No.
6. Will it be restricted to 2 days of running a week or more?
- The coach may provide a 3 day/week run plan for some members. The SIS sessions will only run twice a week as part of the package. The 3rd run for the week is something you can choose to do anywhere, but this 3rd run will not be a coach-led session.
7. Can the location/timing of the run change?
- Yes. The location and/or timing of the session may change due to logistical challenges (if Cubbon Park is blocked for other events, or for elevated runs that SIS might organize, and other unforeseen circumstances). These changes will be communicated beforehand on our WhatsApp group.
- One Sunday run each month, the location of the session may possibly be changed for a change of scenery. This could include locations such as (but not restricted to) Agara Lake (HSR), Indiranagar, etc., but this will be decided by the SIS team and the coach.
- Additionally, for people training for the 10 , as the run distances will get longer with time, an earlier start than mentioned is to be expected on Sundays at least.
8. Is there a parking around the run venue?
- There are public parking spaces around Cubbon Park, but you should plan ahead, arrive early, and figure this out for yourself.
9. Is it possible to drop off our bags somewhere?
Storage space entirely depends on whether someone has brought a car. Our suggestion is to come with the bare essentials for the run session i.e., running shoes, small water bottle, and your amazing energy, unless otherwise communicated by the team/coach. If you're on the WhatsApp group, you can check if someone is bringing a car.
10. How do I decide if I should/want to do a 10k or something else for the races?
- Please consult with the coach before deciding and registering for 5k or the 10k. Going from zero to 10k in 2 months (for example) isn't recommended and the coach may not give you a training plan for such a steep curve. The training plan will be provided by the coach to keep the goal setting realistic and safe.
11. What happens if a run is cancelled by Sisters In Sweat (due to rain, etc.)?
- If the run is cancelled on a particular day due to unforeseen challenges, the plan will be shared by the coach, which can be completed individually before the next session
12. What happens if I can't make it to a session? Can I use the booking for another time or get a refund?
- Package once purchased, it non-refundable
